NOW YOU WANNA COME BACK by Anna Black is a story of Leila. When Leila first told her husband, Devon. that she was pregnant and expecting their first baby, Devon was ecstatic. That excitement soon wears off as the months progress and Leila steadily gains weight. In Devon's eyes, Leila is less attractive. Devon is verbally abusive, making reference to the weight that Leila has gained. It does not do much for Leila's self-esteem either --when she finds out that Devon has been having an affair with a much thinner woman.Leila has put her all into her marriage with Devon. The pain that she feels by his betrayal and the loss of her marriage leaves Leila sad and depressed. That is until she meets the handsome Rayshawn Johnson. Although Rayshawn is like a breath of fresh air, Leila's insecurities leaves her wondering if Rayshawn is genuine. Just when Leila finds herself and new confidence, Devon realizes that Leila is a good woman and all the other stuff he thought he wanted, he no longer wants. Will Leila give their marriage another shot? Or will she decide move on with someone new?
NOW YOU WANNA COME BACK by Anna Black was a good read. It puts you in mind of that saying "What is one man's trash is another man's treasure." So when a man decides (for whatever reason) he does not want a woman and she slowly puts the pieces to her life back together and begins to move on...then... he decides, that she... really was the treasure! The title alone gives the story away, leaving for a predicable read. All-in-all it was a well-written story.

I have to say I liked this one much better than the first two books. Ms. Black had more storyline in this book with more characters. It was a lot more interesting than the other two with this aspect because she didn't just focus through the entire book on two main characters and little mention of anyone else. The only thing was that there were quite a few characters to keep up with and it got confusing sometimes, especially for those with similar names (Janelle & Janiece, Kennedy & Kenya). My irritation with this book covers a few things though. As with the first two books, this one also has a stalker. That concept was just completely overdone. She has a stalker in all 3 books! I got tired of that. And there's always the repetitive theme of I have no self-worth/self-esteem and I'm so insecure. That got played out too. Another thing that got me was her overuse of the word "trust". And, as in all the others, this one had horrible grammatical and spelling errors. One thing I never caught onto was whether Christa & Devon's baby's name was Ivy or Ivory. It was written both ways several times and I didn't know which it was. Otherwise, the book was good and there was way more involved this time. I do have to agree with other reviewers that it seemed a bit rushed at the end and Ms. Black summed everyone up so quickly after having dragged out their storylines. I didn't necessarily care that she included other characters from her other book series since I wasn't familiar with them having not read the others. But it still all made sense even without having read them. I do believe I'm done with Anna Black. This series was enough.

What was this novel about?
"Letting go is not always easy and in some cases it can be close to impossible, like it was for Leila. She was stuck on her husband Devon and never thought she would ever stop loving him; even through the constant pain and suffering, she still had hopes that he’d come back to her. Cold and unwilling to do right, Devon did what was best for him and that was treat Leila horribly and lie to her time after time, leaving her no choice but to be rescued by another man. Rayshon Johnson, not the perfect man - but a good man - came along and rolled the storm away and gave Leila back all the things that Devon took away. He kissed her where it hurt and helped her to get over her insecurities about herself. By giving her back that confidence, she let go and letting go was the wrong answer for Devon and he refused to let her move on without him. He was determined to get his good thing back - no matter what the cost, he was determined to come back."
What I really liked about this read.....
The novel was a good that really had the drama all over the placed. It was a attention grabber because once you start reading you will not want to stop until the end. This author did a wonderful job about letting one see that you may not be a prize for one but their is someone else there to pick you up. Yes, I did find it somewhat predicable however I felt the story line was well written. The characters were all so well developed, well portrayed and believable only to give the reader a interesting read. In the end I found "Now You Wanna Come Back" was a very realistic read that many will be able to relate to with the main female character having self esteem issues and the two men in her life ...one somewhat weak and the other at times was a idiot. Now, I will stop here and say you must pick up this read to see for yourself who is who and what is what. Would I recommend this read? Yes
